The Birdlife International is struggling hard. For What they are doing so?. This struggle, Yes this all struggle is to conserve the most important habitats for birds. As it is impossible to protect every part (small and Large). Therefore protecting those areas which are vital; supporting more bird species, is very crucial.
People know about these areas as Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas (IBAs). Following are those areas:
- Cousin Island, Seychelles
- Inner Gulf of Thailand
- Mutulunganga, Zambia
- Rila Mountains, Bulgaria
- Berga Floodplain, Ethiopia
- Gulf of Mottama, Myanmar
- Harapan Rainforest, Indonesia
- Messina Strait, Italy
- Lower Hunter Valley, Australia
- Acteon and Gambier, French Polynesia
These all areas are from different regions of the world. From south to north and west to east. We can do more work to save these areas. Saving these regions will eventually save all species living in the premises of these areas. Heading high in direction of such situations where there is a space for life and a sustainable use of all resources.
The other face, which we can call the dark face. Dark face because a plenty of logging and a high ratio of urbanization is killing the species.
These are very successful stories. Birdlife has included why they are special and what organism live there. Readers may read more at Link.
