This news now comes across the world as most of the countries are fighting the pandemic of coronavirus. These all, about 1.2 Million sequences are from 172 countries around the world. This data is critical for those scientists which are working day and night to know about the origin of SARS-CoV-2. Scientists all over the world are facing problems as each day a new corona variant is producing. A huge depository of about 1.2 million sequences of coronavirus means a lot for the world.

GISAID is a non-profit scientific organization working in Singapore. Most of these genomes are from the US and Europe, however, the rest of the countries are not on the back foot. China is also fighting on the front foot.

More than one million sequences can help scientists to probe into the vaccines preparation for the effectees.
